Hindu Temple & Cultural Centre Edinburgh
Hindu Temple & Cultural Centre Edinburgh is situated just outside the heart of Edinburgh in Scotland, in the area of Leith. The building, a former Church, is a spacious building which can easily hold 500 people and more when the need calls for it. They have a fairly large congregation which meets once a fortnight. The temple is run by a small Executive Committee who take care of the week to week running of the Temple. Although we do not yet have our own priest, we hope to have one once renovations are complete.

History Of The Hindu Temple & Cultural Centre Edinburgh
In 1981 the Edinburgh Hindu Mandir and Sanskriti Kendra was established and the community has endeavored to ensure that Hindus in Edinburgh have a dedicated place of worship where they can congregate to thank the Lord, to celebrate joyous occasions and receive spiritual solace during solemn events. Since the acquisition of the Mandir premises in 1990, many dedicated families, successive Committees and Trustees, with the support of the Hindu Community in Scotland, have worked hard to bring the Mandir to where it is now. With the blessings of Almighty God, various saintly Sadhus and Sants, especially Swami Shri Gopal Sharan Devacharya Ji Maharaj, and under the guidance of Brahmachari Shri Vrajvihari Sharan Ji, the Mandir is ready to receive the Lord in Murti form.
