Bharat Sevashram Sangha London
The London Sevashram Sangha is a spiritual brotherhood of sannyasis (monks), selfless workers (volunteers) and members (devotees) dedicated to the service humanity.
It is a branch of Bharat Sevashram Sangha, an all-India and international organisation with its head office in Calcutta, India. The London Sevashram Sangha was founded in 1961 by Swami Purnandaji Maharaj.
It is a registered charity and is non-sectarian, non-communal and non-political in outlook.
We believe that in the light of modern conditions a continuing exposition and interpretation of the philosophy of the Hindu Scriptures such as Bhagavad Gita and Ramayan as a guide to a sublime way of life, would provide peace and spiritual tranquillity and a consciousness of Self. It would spread the ancient message of love towards all beings and create a harmonious atmosphere in our present disturbed world society.
This is also of relevance to the multicultural society in which we live. All those who are committed to advance this humanitarion/spiritual outlook in like are most welcome to share in the pursuit.
