Sanatan Mandir Crawley
The Gurjar Hindu Union (GHU) Ltd (Sanatan Mandir Crawley ) is 44 years old established minority ethnic led charitable organisation serving Crawley, a town based in the South East of England, near Gatwick Airport.
GHU is a volunteer led charity which has established itself as a well run, sustainable organisation.
Since 1968, Gurjar Hindu Union has made tremendous progress in providing a solid foundation for the future of the Hindu community in Crawley and South-East England. The SMCC project has been a mammoth task for the current committee and has faced many challenges and achievements. With the Apple Tree Centre complete, focus now remains on the Temple architecture and aesthetics, which are planned for completion in Spring 2009.
The Apple Tree Centre is a modern multi-purpose meeting place offering a wealth of facilities for business and community use.
Opened in 2010 by the Gurjar Hindu Union, a local charitable organisation, the Apple Tree Centre has conference and meeting rooms, sports courts and changing rooms, plus full kitchen and catering facilities.
The main Dhamecha Suite (1200 square metres) provides capacity for up to one thousand people, with hire available for every use from private celebrations to business exhibitions and seminars.
The Apple Tree Centre aims to provide you with an excellent service at a first class location.
There was and is a great deal of hard work done by the Crawley public to achieve its long term dream and objective and ultimately realise the most beautiful Mandir and Community Centre in the UK.
They should all feel proud of this historic achievements and successes. They all made contributions, big and small, which all contributed to their new centre being completed. GHU Board and Committee thanks everyone who participated, helped and supported during the grand opening on 21, 22 and 23 May 2010.
