ISKCON Rural Community
In today’s world, time is very precious. Generally we use our time for those things that we consider most important. But what is really important in life? If we want to find true satisfaction then we have to look deeper into our heart. We all have our rightful place and duties in society. However, to find true inner joy we have to find a spiritual balance within that gives real meaning to life.
Situated amongst the green rolling hills of Murwillumbah’s hinterland, New Govardhana Hare Krishna farm is an organic growers’ paradise. With rich volcanic soil and a temperate climate, a wide range of fruits and vegetables can be grown all year round, making it a popular destination for organic gardeners and all kinds of sustainable living enthusiasts.
ISKCON Rural Community also runs Govindas catering. the catering is a community based organisation, that is trying to give the general public a chance to contact spiritually minded people through the medium of food. The food that we provide is called Prasadam or the mercy of the Lord, it has been blessed, and the effect that it has on people is quite profound. We often experience people telling us, they have never eaten anything like this foodbefore. That is due to its spiritual nature, and when eaten this has a purifying effect on the person. This is like medicine for the soul.
