Hindu Temple Of Albany New York
As the membership of Hindu Temple Society increased, with major contributions from dedicated members and volunteers, Hindu Temple Of Albany New York was built and inaugurated on November 3, 1992.
In 2005 as membership grew to about 3000, HTS (Hindu Temple Society) felt the need for a Cultural Center for the community events. Again with the major contributions by dedicated members and volunteers, The Hindu Cultural Center was completed in 2007 at the cost of about Two Million Dollars without incurring any loans from the Banks. We should be proud of ourselves in building three magnificent structures to fulfill the needs of HTS members and the local community.
The Cultural center completed in 2007, is located on the same campus as the temple and offers facilities for rent like a well equipped Auditorium (550 seat capacity), Dining Hall, fully equipped commercial kitchen and three class rooms.Cultural Center is dedicated to promoting and preserving culture and fine arts, Dance, yoga and meditation, conducts language classes -Samskritam, Kannada, Telugu Etc., and social services such as medical Clinic and Women’s connection. Cultural Center facilities are available for very reasonable rental charges when they are is not being used by temple and CC.
